ABOUT THE ROLE
This role sits within Hardland's Technician Career Ladder (TO-T3), offering clear expectations, skill-based wage progression, and transparent advancement opportunities.
The Landscape Technician 1 is a developing installer role for someone who can work safely, learn quickly, and contribute across hardscape, softscape, fencing, and pool-related projects.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Assist with patios, walkways, retaining walls, garden beds, and planting tasks
Support pressure treated wood fencing and chain-link fencing installation.
Assist with base prep, screeding, compaction, grading, and cleanup
Use basic hand tools and approved power tools safely
Support site organization, material staging, and quality execution
Support winter operations if assigned

Completes basic tasks safely and correctly
Contributes productively across multiple scopes
Follows Hardland standards with minimal repeated correction
Keeps work areas clean and organized
Builds technical skill steadily
Progresses toward Technician 2 readiness
